25th April 2022 marks the start of our 25th anniversary year. On this day in 1997, People Matter was officially incorporated as a charity with a mission to help jobseekers. Over the past 25 years, we have helped around 16,000 jobseekers. The paperchain people in our special anniversary logo represent these jobseekers and 16,000 will be displayed in our offices. We will be celebrating during the coming year with various events and activities – watch out for further news here on our website and on our social media channels.

We provide information, advice and guidance to jobseekers, whether or not they are currently working.
We believe that every individual has a unique set of talents and abilities that allow them to contribute to the community in which they live and work. Our mission is to help people realise their full potential.
Our experienced and qualified advisers offer a range of free advice and support services to all jobseekers focussed in Eastbourne, Wealden and surrounding areas. Our Working for You Team works with local employers to match skills, experience and attributes of jobseekers with the person specification and job descriptions of vacant posts.
Since the charity was set up, we have helped around 16,000 people with CV writing services, careers advice, job applications, business start up and mock interviews.
