Working in the Street Cleansing team, you will need to be flexible to carry out a variety of street cleansing duties with a total commitment to customer care, providing a quality service for residents and customers of Eastbourne Borough.

This is a physically demanding role, working outdoors in all weather.  You will need to be able to undertake the heavy manual operations and activities associated with the job.

You will need to be trained and fully familiar with manual handling and lifting techniques and work in accordance with the organisation’s Health and Safety Policies and safe systems of work.

You will be an ambassador of the organisation and the Council and a positive role model for your fellow work colleagues, promoting diversity, equalities and inclusivity.

You will be required to carry out ‘catch-up work’ and may be required to assist outside normal hours with emergency works.

You will be required to help the Refuse & Recycling department from time to time.
