Workshop: Basic IT skills for jobseekers
This 6 session course (over 3 weeks from Monday 7 March to Friday 25 March) is designed to encourage confidence in using IT for job searching and applications. We start right at the beginning (getting familiar with IT equipment and terms) and work through to sending emails with attachments, online searching and using Word to complete application forms and cover letters. The course runs from 9am – 4pm, but may finish earlier. There will be a brief break for lunch. Please bring your own refreshments. It is a taught course with some video content and chance to do some practice questions. There is a pen and paper test at the end. The paperchain people in our special anniversary logo represent these jobseekers and 16,000 will be displayed in our offices during the coming year.
