Workshop: Basic IT skills for jobseekers
This 4 session course (over 4 weeks from Monday 30 May to Monday 20 June) is designed to encourage confidence in using IT for job searching and applications. We start right at the beginning (getting familiar with IT equipment and terms) and work through to sending emails with attachments, online searching and using Word to complete application forms and cover letters. The course runs from 9am – 4pm, but may finish earlier. There will be a brief break for lunch. Please bring your own refreshments. It is a taught course with some video content and chance to do some practice questions. There is a pen and paper test at the end. This is sent off to the accrediting exam body who mark the papers, inform us of the results and send out the certificates. Certificates can take up to six weeks to…
