Can you work as part of a modern, innovative, and customer focused Facilities Management team? We’re looking for a friendly, professional Receptionist to deliver front of house services at one of our Eastbourne corporate hubs.
This role offers the opportunity to be the friendly, professional face of the County Council’s corporate offices. Based at our St Mary’s House, Eastbourne site, you will manage reception and switchboard duties, greet and sign in visitors, oversee site access and meeting room bookings, and support the smooth running of reception and sorting post. You will play a key part in ensuring safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service, while developing your skills through training and professional development opportunities. Travel to other buildings across the county to support other receptions may be required at times.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Previous experience of working in a busy reception.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
- Ability to work on own initiative, problem solve and remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Essential education and qualifications
- RQF Level 2 in Maths and English Language or able to pass assessment as part of the recruitment process
