When you join us:

Reporting to the Night Manager, you will be supervising and leading the Night Team of three with a wide range of responsibilities, such as:

  • Welcoming late arriving guests and escorting them to their rooms;
  • Assisting guests with luggage
  • Providing advice on hotel facilities as well as local places of interest
  • Valet parking cars
  • Preparing snacks and serving food and drinks.
  • To ensure the hotel is safe and secure for guests and staff by completing regular security patrols and fire checks.
  • To carry out the night audit

As part of your role as Night Supervisor you will also be responsible for completing rotas in the absence of the Night Manager.

Please note this is a night time role working various hours between 11pm and 7.30am, 40 per week, including weekends, over five days.

What we need from you:

  • Clean, valid UK driving licence preferred. If you have this, please ensure you indicate this on your application.
  • Possess a welcoming personality to make the Grand Hotel an experience to remember, whilst retaining the ability to be assertive when required.
  • Previous experience within a hotel environment essential. Previous night porter experience preferred.
  • Have excellent English language skills, verbal and written.
  • Be physically fit as some heavy lifting is required.
