Network Co-ordination Assistant – Lewes
About the role
As a Network Coordination Assistant, you’ll support the Network Coordination Manager and Traffic Manager in delivering our statutory Network Management duties. You’ll be at the heart of ensuring compliance with key legislation, including the Traffic Management Act 2004 and New Roads & Street Works Act 1991, while helping to keep East Sussex moving safely and efficiently.
What you’ll be doing Processing permit applications, lane rental requests, and road closure notices. Coordinating activities on the public highway and issuing permits/licences. Assisting with major works and projects that impact the network. Attending performance meetings with works promoters and contributing to solutions. Supporting improvements to processes and compliance with legislation.
Who we’re looking for Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Problem-solving and coaching skills. A customer-focused approach with tact and diplomacy. Full driving licence.
