Are you ready for a rewarding career where you can truly make a difference in the lives of others? If so, come and join our friendly team at Grangemead Respite Services Hailsham and be part of “Branching Out”, our weekday programme supporting adults with learning disabilities to live active, meaningful lives.
In this rewarding role, you’ll be supporting adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives. Each day is different, you might be helping someone gain confidence in cooking a meal, tending to the garden, or participating in local activities that encourage social interaction and personal growth. Your role will involve promoting independence and choice, empowering individuals to learn new skills and make their own decisions wherever possible.
You’ll also provide personal care and administer medication with sensitivity and attention to detail, ensuring each person’s health and wellbeing are always prioritised. Some of the people you support may have more complex needs, so you’ll receive training to confidently assist with PEG feeding, insulin administration, moving and handling, and managing behaviours of concern. As part of the team, you’ll also act as the designated driver, taking people to various activities in the local community. Working Monday to Friday, you’ll help create a structured, engaging environment where every day offers meaningful experiences and opportunities for the people you support to thrive.
