Mock Interviews
Do interviews leave you speechless? Most people feel the same.
Are you due to have an interview? Given sufficient notice we can arrange a tailored mock interview for you using the job description and person specification for the role.
Alternatively, if you need help to improve your confidence generally we can arrange a generic mock interview session with a local employer or member of the People Matter team.
You will be asked questions, based on the content of your CV, for between 20 and 30 minutes after which time you will receive 15 minutes of constructive feedback on your performance and be given suggestions on areas for improvement. You will discover how first impressions count, the importance of interview protocol and personal presentation and how to use positive body language.
‘Thank you very much for your help and for giving me the opportunity to attend this interview.
It was really useful to get the opinion of a professional’
Guidance will be given on preparation for the interview and you are encouraged to attend the Getting a Job workshops prior to booking.
Please note we need to be in possession of an up to date copy of your CV prior to offering you an interview. Register your interest in attending a Mock Interview with a Receptionist on 01323 431289. You will be contacted in due course and offered an interview slot.
Skills Assessments
Advisers are able to offer support to clients wishing to complete on-line Skills Assessments. There are 3 types of assessment which will help us to help you identify your skills, interests and related employment opportunities.
‘When I came I had no idea where to start looking for career ideas and how to get there. I have been given good resources and am now confident of being able to find a career that is right for me’.
