A Four Star Hotel on the seafront is recruiting for a Receptionist

The role of Receptionist is to be the first point of contact for all guests at the hotel by providing prompt and efficient service and ensuring the guest’s needs are met.

Working within the Front Office team you will achieve a high standard of customer care, creating the ultimate customer experience within our busy and vibrant hotel.

Key Responsibilities

Be fully conversant with the facilities, services and special promotions offered by the hotel and to pass this information on to the guest whenever the possibility arises in order to maximise hotel sales.

Welcome and check in guests according to standard operating procedures and mystery guest audit requirements.

Meet, greet and check out guests according to standard operating procedures and the mystery guest audit requirements.

Demonstrate the required guest service behaviours at all times.

Be fully conversant and able to operate the hotel front office systems and ensure all charges are correctly posted to guests bills.

To deal with cash, cheques and card transactions, in accordance with the hotel and company policy, and to ensure that any discrepancies are reported immediately.

Control the receiving and issuing of keys and floats from other departments and personnel according to internal procedures.

Communicate & distribute all messages received for guests are passed on accurately and as quickly as possible.

Ensure that all guests receive friendly, efficient and prompt service and to make sure that guests are never ignored in preference to administrative tasks.

Show willingness to take on additional responsibilities when necessary.

Deal with guest complaints properly and pleasantly and refer to management as necessary.

Have a thorough knowledge of and adherence to the law with regard to the following company regulations.
