Salary: depending on age.

Apprentice Chef in a busy kitchen supporting our popular roadside diner.  Under the guidance of our head chef, learning how to prepare properly all items on our food menu.   All of our meals are prepared on site using fresh local ingredients.  For example, we make our own sausages, fishfingers and so on.  We don’t buy in pre prepared meals to reheat.  We believe that an apprentice working with us would learn the basics of preparing a range of meals from basic ingredients.  All aspects of food storage and safety.  Minimizing food waste.   Later in their training assisting in menu planning or suggesting ‘specials’.

We also run events at the cafe.  These can range from ‘Bike Nights’ and small rock concerts to outside barbecues and weddings.  Our apprentice would therefore also be involved in event catering.
