Our experienced adviser is available to provide help and support with:

  • searching for jobs online
  • signing up for job alerts (eg find-a-job, Indeed)
  • uploading CVs to job search websites
  • drafting cover letters and emails for job applications
  • online applications
  • photocopying, scanning and printing documents for job applications
  • using online platforms for job interviews

Meet our Job Club Advisers

Chris Thompson – Chris joined People Matter in 2022 after a 35 year career in the financial services and IT industries. As well as supporting in the Job Club, he also offers jobseekers support with improving their IT skills for job seeking. When not volunteering, Chris is a keen musician and sailor.

Andrew Mann – Andrew has volunteered with People Matter since 2017, initially as a Client Advisor and now in the Job Club. In the past he worked in industry and for the last 18 years in recruitment. In his spare time he undertakes nature conservation work in and around the local area.

Bill Fennell – Bill joined People Matter in 2017, after a career working as a surveyor and in IT.

Janet Wintle – Janet joined People Matter in 2022 after retiring to Eastbourne. For the past ten years Janet has worked and volunteered in various roles in the voluntary sector including previous experience as a CAP (Christian Against Poverty) Job Club manager.
